Since Monday, I've been back at my internship at the neurological rehabilitation centre. Tonight I returned to my flat and sadly have nothing much to do over the weekend before driving over there again on Sunday evening.

Today I did an experiment though: I took my Remington head shaver with me, which is said to be usable with shaving foam. I know they probably thought about canned stuff instead of proper shaving soap, but today I tried just that - the results were nicer than the dry shave in terms of skin health (after using it dry, I often had a fierce razor burn on the back of my head and neck). There was still some burn, but it was gone quickly. Regardless, I'm glad to be able to use a safety razor again this weekend!

I've been quite busy with work for the past 4 days. Apparently our little shaving Lemmy instance is having trouble federating comments which is undoubtedly related to the recent roll-back to a backup. According to the backup/restore instructions it should have worked, but I might have to do it again more carefully, losing even more recent data.

I still think that's preferable to losing ALL of the old posts/pictures.

So be warned! Any lengthy and insightful posts made in the coming days might get nuked.

I saw something about a new version of Lemmy coming out soon, too. Interested to see what's new. With our current database problems we'll likely hold off until that's figured out before upgrading.

No worries. We're talkin' shaving here!

Don't sweat it! Mistakes happen. At first I was a bit perplexed since I thought something was terribly wrong with my app but then I saw confirmation that it was a database issue. πŸ˜… We don't have much lengthy content here anyway...

I will have to make a heroic effort in order to avoid posting insightful posts 🀣

Wetshaving could be changed forever, but alas the knowledge and techniques of the next/past two weeks will be lost into the Γ¦ther!
