An accusation would all that was needed to take out political opponents.
That's the shitty part. When it was "adults" it wouldn't have been an issue, but since children where allowed to run the government it would now be weaponised, as you pointed out.

That's a common misconception. Eric didn't have any cigarettes on his person. Meaning the fake crime he was executed for wasn't just minor. It was non existent.
