This comment has been reported. After doing more research than I ever wanted to on this topic, I have determined this to not be misinformation.

As to the accuracy of the information, I cannot say, as all the information science has on it is based on accidents. All I can say is there is evidence to say that this comment was made in good faith.

I will not speak on the topic of death sentence.

Both sides have.

That's not how this works. This will be the last time I ever interact with you.

I won't stoop to your level with insults, I'll just leave you with this: I fly 4 flags at my house: American, pride, Ukraine, and Palestine.

You spend so much time attacking us for some made up thing, when the truth is simple: your unbearable with your constant attack on anybody that doesn't agree with you. I WILL be voting for Harris, because a vote for ANYBODY else is a vote for Trump, and there are MANY more issues I worry about.

  • Homeless rights
  • Feeding low income families
  • LGBTQIA+ rights - I have a trans child, and a gay child
  • Ensuring we don't get a dictator

... And on and on.

YOU, for some reason, think it's a simple thing, but it's not.

Goodbye.

Mine wasn't that good, but 70K at 3.1 is much better than things are today.

U.S. housing market is fucked.

Yeah. You're the victim. You break civility rules. There are plenty of pro Palestine people in the community. They just follow the rules.

Normal people apologize when they are called out for insulting others. That's another difference.

At this point, it feels like you believe if you can get people to hate Harris, Jill will magically win.

It's never going to happen. I'm sorry, but that's not how this reality works.

This has been reported as homophobic. This means people have a reading comprehension issue. They were obviously stating one party is homophobic.

I'm feeling good. Sadly, for both sides. Harris is the better speaker, but MAGA will only listen to Trump's lies

This post was removed for being about an event from a month ago. After reviewing the article, it has been reinstated, as it is a follow-up.

The news mod team has asked to no longer be a part of the project until we have a composite tool that polls multiple sources for a more balanced view.

It will take a few hours, but FOR NOW there won't be a bot giving reviews of the source.

The goal was simple: make it easier to show biased sources. This was to give you and the mods a better view of what we were looking at.

The mod team is in agreement: one source of truth isn't enough. We are working on a tool to give a composite score, from multiple sources, all open source.

Connect for Lemmy is my daily driver, but there aren't mod tools built in. For most of my moderation, it's either Alexandrite or REST calls.

Are there any native apps with good mod tools?

WHAT

  • Former U.S. President Donald J. Trump was shot at a rally in PA.

TRUMPS STATEMENT

“I want to thank The United States Secret Service, and all of Law Enforcement, for their rapid response on the shooting that just took place in Butler, Pennsylvania. Most importantly, I want to extend my condolences to the family of the person at the Rally who was killed, and also to the family of another person that was badly injured. It is incredible that such an act can take place in our Country. Nothing is known at this time about the shooter, who is now dead. I was shot with a bullet that pierced the upper part of my right ear. I knew immediately that something was wrong in that I heard a whizzing sound, shots, and immediately felt the bullet ripping through the skin. Much bleeding took place, so I realized then what was happening. GOD BLESS AMERICA!”

WHAT WE THINK WE KNOW SO FAR

  • gunman is dead
  • Trump "is fine"
  • one attendee is dead
  • another attendee is in critical condition

News Sources

Hello fellow Lemmys. The mod team here at !news@lemmy.world has been in discussions about the best approach to ensure we stay unbiased with news during the U.S. Election Cycle.

While we can't say "don't point out flaws in candidates" - nor would we want to - we do believe that when you excessively post/comment/reply negative things in News about one person, instead of, say mixing it up about topics, this feels like you are using !news@lemmy.world as a propaganda machine.

While propaganda is a normal part of elections, by posting only one topic, about one person, you are abusing the NEWS community for politics, and this could even be seen as election interference. There are other communities that this would fit better.

Doing this will result in posts/comments being deleted (with the option to appeal, of course). Repeat offenders may see temporary bans. Keep doing after that, and you may reach our perma-ban list.

As of right now, this only apples to politics. We don't plan to extend this to other areas, but that will change as needed.
