You are right, but you do see it in a lot of these political threads - every(or most) expressly anti-R or anti-Trump comment with just one (sometimes two) downvotes, but no one actually dissenting. It's weirdly consistent and predictable.

Like there's one guy just laughing to himself that he's owning the libs every time he clicks that downvote button.

OK now that I'm bringing out the Hunter Biden's laptop folks, I'm deleting the comment and posts, not just acknowledging my error. Dear god what have I summoned.

What can I do to piss them off if I never had any in the first place?

I realize that right up there is a DOJ report, but I read this article in about 2020 and found it at the time to be one of the most horrifyingly complete accounts of what happened that I'd seen.

Not on my 2025 bingo card I'll admit, but I'm here for it.

DOJ: Police Shooting Family Dogs has Become ‘Epidemic’

Cops in this country kill so many dogs each year that a specialist at the Department of Justice’s (“DOJ”) community-oriented program services office says it has become an “epidemic.” The DOJ estimates that around 25 to 30 dogs are killed by cops every day, with some numbers as high as 10,000 per year. The totals could, in fact, be higher, since most police agencies do not formally track officer-involved shootings involving animals.

Please rest of the world - SHUN Musk and to whatever degree you can, also Trump, exactly like this. Their egos can't handle it, and your efforts to de-legitimize them both may be one of our most effective weapons to limit the damage they do.

Screenshotting this because I don't know how to reliably link comments across instances.

Summary

California farmers, many of whom supported Trump, face a potential crisis as his immigration policies threaten mass deportations of undocumented workers, who make up at least half of the state’s 162,000 farm labor force.

Deportations could devastate agriculture, leading to labor shortages, unharvested crops, and rising food prices.

Farmers hope for solutions such as workforce legalization or expanded H-2A guest worker programs, though these have been criticized for exploitation risks.

Historical parallels to programs like “Operation Wetback” and the bracero system highlight possible labor and human rights challenges ahead.
