I like to switch RSS apps on the phone a lot because I can't stick with one, and none of them are perfect

Love FreshRSS. It really is something that I didn't know I needed. I often switch RSS apps, and it allows for seemless transitions.

Are you sure it wasn't sociopath? It does take a certain amount of decision-making lacking empathy or remorse.

I know, right? It was very hard for me to grasp the Fediverse when i first heard about it. Now, it seems the protocol is being tapped into from a few different directions, so these new platforms may just be starting to make an appearance.

This will continue because of cowardice, unfortunately. Integrity is one of the only things that separates moral and ethical action. In the moment, groupthink/mob mentality/group mentality led to conformity which is exactly what happened, and is an extreme form of pressure. Regardless of the action/inaction in the moment, integrity was challenged and defeated. One of the only ways this will change is something that will probably not happen due to conformism within the system. You lived how hard it was... your integrity was challenged, and ultimately inaction was the choice that was made resulting in net zero integrity.

As everything in hindsight reveals the truth, the inaction feeds conformity. If it's never challenged, then it evolves into a "norm."

I vividly remember... I was in the office and one of my coworkers comes up to me with a shit eating grin on his face - like he had something he wanted to share...

He said, "Have you ever heard of Bitcoin?" I said, "No..." He explained (sort of) what he thought it was, but sounded more like an investment opportunity (blah blah blah) less than 10 cents per... I didn't bite.

Lets just say this didn't age well for me, lmao.

That would be neat, some quantitative data comparing comments / views or the such per post, etc... I'm sure its possible. Maybe someone can make this happen? 🧐

It is, right? I found it here.

It is fascinating because of how small (relatively) the community is on Lemmy.

Having tried all three, its a stark difference in how much more social Lemmy is comparatively. Its not even close. Almost all posts I've encountered on lemmy have interaction; whereas, more often than not, posts on the other two platforms have no interaction. Wonder what the driving factor is behind this difference?

Way to stick it to em!

Suck it micro USB, mini USB, and lightning! 🪫🔋

What are your favorite FOSS app finds of this year?

One of the better unknown games I've played. It's free right now. Give it a go if you like rogue-like/souls-like types. Very rewarding gameplay (and pretty difficult).

Sometimes people perplex me in that some of the most fundamental things aren't known to the newer generations (albeit, some of the older ones too, but not nearly as many). Nonetheless, I bet there are people that will TIL this! And you know what, have at it, obtain that knowledge 👍
