It does helps! Maybe there's a bit of ego in my way of seeing things.

And as you said, People are complex, it's true, it's difficult to understand ourselves. That's why it's good to share experiences with others in order to find inner answers. Thanks for sharing!

I know it helps. I sought psychological help to treat my depression and lack of self-esteem at the time and it helped tremendously. Maybe I should look into getting that kind of help again.

(It's weird to call it "falling in love", because it's more like a childish and annoying infatuation, but anyway...)

I'm already terrible at socializing, but it's especially difficult for me to create genuine friendships with women because I can't help thinking of them as "possible future partners" (or some bullshit like that) and feel "jealous" when I see them talking to other men. It's stupid, a really stupid and annoying felling.

I know there is something in me that I need to change, but I don't know what, and I need some assistance.

I would like to feel more comfortable with my singleness and reserve my feelings for someone who can really reciprocate, while forging more non-romantic relationships with other people.

If you ask me, I would explode out of anger; but I think others... would also explode, but out of euphoria.

As a Venezuelan,Yeah!! fuck both, the US and China! 🔥🔥

[–] NONE_dc@lemmy.world 9 points 5 days ago

Of course I read them, I got the notifications, all the comments are weird! 😭

Y... I dunno pal. If you think this silly (and not even funny) meme is somehow me praising china (which is something a lot of people assume FOR SOME REASON), well whatev....

This is the most neutral 😐 meme I ever did! What "campaign" are you talking about? 😭

[–] NONE_dc@lemmy.world 1 points 6 days ago

I... Already know, and I didn't lose anything (though, they mostly only buy actions and companies, Which is a "thing" Microsoft also does).

¡Señor! ¡Me alegro por el pana Transmasc! Bien por él por haber transicionado 👏👏

Hmmm, in that case... I guess the worst.

But it's funny, because that bad moment felt like I was sinking, but on a springboard to new heights; while the best moment so far feels like a beautiful view from above everything.

And for the moment, I'm still going up.

By "impact" do you mean that it has made a change in me or in my life, or that I still remember it every day? Or maybe both?

FINALLY, SOMEONE GETS IT. THANK YOU 😭

I mean... I kinda get it, but nowadays it's starting to get absurd.

(EDIT: This was supposed to be a "blow air out my nose and get on with my life" meme...)

I'm in the process of getting rid of as much Google-related stuff as I can. Yesterday I already started with moving everything I had stored in Drive (backups and other stuff) to my Nextcloud and the like. Now I want to change my main email, the one I'm going to use for, my accounts here in the fediverse and so on. So I'm looking for alternatives.

At the moment, apart from Gmail, I also have an Outlook (from when it was hotmail), a Proton account (though in view of their CEO's recent statements I may not keep it) and a new one on Disroot.

Which of the aforementioned services works best for a normie not well versed in cybersecurity like me?

Do you know of any alternatives I'm not aware of (I've heard of Tuta, but nothing else)?

Let's say there is a tulip lovers club, where they talk about tulips, their variations and how to grow them. Let's say someone new joins the club, this new person starts saying that tulips are rubbish and that roses are better or something like that. This person becomes so insistent with these statements that they end up being kicked out of the club. Before leaving, the person calls the club an "Echo Chamber" about tulips.

Would this person be right?

Ok, here's the thing: Earlier this week I had the idea of setting up a Lemmy community focused on Lowpoly modeling done with PicoCad, Blockbench and Blender. I went with my Mastodon instance looking for feedback on community regulations. Then the admin of my instance contacted me to tell me if he wanted me to set up a whole Lemmy instance.

He told me it was something he had been thinking about for a while. He already has several projects in the fediverse: two Mastodon instances (TKZ.one and Mas.lat), one on Pixelfed (Pixelfed.es), one on Peertube (TKZ.video), etc. It's just that, as I wasn't familiar with Lemmy, I didn't know where to start, and as I'm one of the only ones in the instance that is active on Lemmy....

Lemmy is the second page, after Mastodon, where I've been messing around the most and I'm close to a year around here (it's not much, but it's something), so I'm pretty familiar.

The instance is already set up (Lem.to). At the moment it has nothing, since we just finished making it today. It will be focused on the Spanish-speaking public, although I don't rule out the possibility of bilingual communities (Spanish and English), although that remains to be seen.

So, I am asking for help to know how to get off to a good start in this new responsibility. I would like to do the best job possible and attract more users to Lemmy if possible. Any advice is welcome.

All I hear about is "boomers" this, "Millennials" that, "Gen Z" that, etc.

Why no one talk about Gen X? What happened to them? They just vanished like in Infinity War? Or are we mistaken Gen Z by Boomers?

Damn, this past days has been wilds, huh

More than "mildly infuriating", this is deeply depressing.

(And seeing TikTok two times there don't make things better...)
