2 passes. Face lather. Excellent shave.
As a scent, Marilyn continues to grow on me. I did not think it was particularly special when I first tried it. Then, with subsequent use, I started becoming aware of some of the nuances. Adding the EdT really helped me to appreciate the work Will put into this. Today's use was yet another step forward. I had time to enjoy the scent evolve from soap to splash to EdT. This one is still tough for me to recommend, but I've found that I enjoy it.

Day 07 of Atlas Shaves 2 – Electric Boogaloo Fri 07 Feb 2025

One week of AS2EB is in the books, and there are still plenty of participants. I'm starting to think that this will all come down to points, and not to the last shaver shaving.
Mike's is another soaper that I don't really use. LatherBot is really not on my side so far. Luckily, I bought a bunch of samples for my 2021 Lather Games run, and one of those orders contained Mike's Lime. (RIP Shave Dash, you had a great run).
Unsurprisingly, the 4 year old sample is barely scented anymore, only a faint hint of lime is discernable. It seems like I slept on yet another great soap base though: this smush lathers into dense layer that hydrates gradually. Foolproof, really.
I'm curious to see whether anyone has the theme soap (probably @sahenders@sub.wetshaving.social, he seems to have a u/sgrdddy - esque den), and how many people have a soap with a lavendin note.

Mike’s Natural Soaps' Lavendin & Eucalyptus was not on the menu for me, but I did have Orange, Cedarwood & Black Pepper, which also shares many of the same notes with Logbook. Mike's lather is easy and effective.

On theme today with TSF Kittyhawk. Notes are salty sea air, dried coconut, eucalyptus, jasmine, clove, vetiver, driftwood. Lovely scent, and the lather was great.
Tomorrow is almost certainly an Airbud for me.

I haven't used Milksteak in a long time, as all I have of it are samples. Champs de Lavande was an incredible scent, and it's likely one that I'll never smell again! RIP sample.
The notes in Champs de Lavande are lavender, ylang ylang, eucalyptus, rosemary, bergamot and black pepper. Eucalyptus means it has 50% of the scent notes of the theme soap.
