Nice! βΊοΈ
whoop whoop!
π Looking good !
Gem +1
Seconding the seconding (not sure whether this is thirding or fourthing, though)
Isn't it well accepted that seconding is the first step of a Fibonacci sequence and is followed by a second seconding +1, then a thirding +2, fifthing +3, eighthing +5, etc?
My bad - this is obviously the correct answer
β
I really like gem, but don't want to make it seem like it's geared towards single edge (like https://tost3.com)
I don't think there'd be any confusion, but something to consider.
+1, firm support of that option too ππ»
Often our worst ideas turn out to be great, so donβt be shy.
You asked for it! What about:
- ptolmy.wetshaving.social (because Alexander the Great)
- cleopatra.wetshaving.social (because Ptolmy)
- nile.wetshaving.social (because Alexandria)
- egypt.wetshaving.social (because Alexandria)
- serapis.wetshaving.social (because Alexandria + rite)
- koptic.wetshaving.social (because Alexandria + rite)
I rest my case.
Wow, lots of ideas here!
I support the serapis and koptic since that makes it sound like we're some secret society cult lodge that tries to summon the ancient wetshaving gods ππββοΈ

With a big picture of a masonic razor, the branding is complete!
ngl, I'd get behind a Lemmy-only straight razor group buy if instead of a mascot it included an etching of Shub-Niggurath, the Allmother
Same here, though I'm not sure that Shub-Niggurath would make for a good etching. If you want a mother goddess, maybe the sign of Tanit?
- imperator.wetshaving.social : Alexander the Great was the emperor/imperator of Rome, plus the Alexandrite frontend reminds me of the colour of the Death Star in Star Wars; famously a stronghold of the Empire
- gladius.wetshaving.social : a word for both the sword of roman foot soldiers as well as later becoming the general latin word for "sword". Straight and safety razors are sharp too, the connection should be enough
Ok I rest my case. You asked for the worst ideas, so here you go π
These are certainly some ideas!
