Every accusation is a confession.

Yes. Literally every single one.

[–] Draedron@lemmy.dbzer0.com 34 points 17 hours ago (2 children)

I wonder who of them eats cats and dogs. Probably RFK

[–] FlyingSquid@lemmy.world 4 points 10 hours ago

RFK Jr. has had to literally make a public denial that he ate a dog. And yet he seems to have no sympathy for Haitian migrants.

[–] ChaoticEntropy@feddit.uk 8 points 16 hours ago

Well, he said he ate dog and also at the very least tries to eat bear.

Imagine being so young and having so much hate in you.

I pity that woman.

[–] Crikeste@lemm.ee 1 points 6 hours ago

Nah, she deserves every single ounce of hate and pain that gets delivered to her.

[–] VerilyFemme@lemmy.blahaj.zone 23 points 18 hours ago* (last edited 18 hours ago) (1 children)

I love how she said she gets along with everyone and still went on to say that it's "impossible to walk around New York City without running into a mentally ill fa***t." Like, who do you think you're referring to with that statement? Because it seems to me she's referring to the drag queen she "gets along with." At least the hypocrisy remains consistent.

[–] EABOD25@lemm.ee 9 points 17 hours ago (3 children)

drag queens have a right to... drag? personal life doesn't impact professional life or affect any parties not involved. People should be able to find their happiness in this fucked up world.

And to be more clear. I'm criticizing people who have let their upbringing convince them that something that is none of their business somehow impacts their personal life

I think you mean, "Drag queens caught partying with GOP candidate who called them pedophiles."

[–] kevindqc@lemmy.world 29 points 20 hours ago* (last edited 20 hours ago) (1 children)

Do drag queens know everyone who comes at the club/venue they're performing?

[–] pjwestin@lemmy.world 39 points 20 hours ago (1 children)

The point of the comment wasn't to blame the drag queens. It was to reverse the implicit shame of being, "caught," that's in the title, giving the connotation that it's shameful or embarrassing to associate with the GOP candidate, not the other way around. It was just a little quip that I'm sure I've made much funnier with this explanation.

[–] seth@lemmy.world 15 points 19 hours ago (1 children)

I didn't even catch it until you explained lol, the explanation did actually make it funnier for me

[–] pjwestin@lemmy.world 3 points 16 hours ago (1 children)

Well, take that, established rules of comedy!

...The previous sentence was a reference to common idiom, "If you have to explain the joke, then it's not funny," while the current sentence is an example of irony. Here, I am not using irony as it's colloquially used, which could best be described as a funny coincidence, but rather by its literally definition of, "the use of words expressing something other than their literal intention." While the literal intention of my words is an explanation of my first and second sentences, the non-literal intention is a continuation of the premise that I am over-explaining my own jokes, thereby using irony to create what some would call a, "meta," joke.

[–] seth@lemmy.world 2 points 6 hours ago

I'm enjoying this as well. I may be broken.

[–] InternetCitizen2@lemmy.world 6 points 19 hours ago (1 children)

Likely he believes his open propaganda and was hoping to hangout with pedos.

[–] todd_bonzalez@lemm.ee 7 points 15 hours ago

Sounds like a confession.

[–] captainlezbian@lemmy.world 14 points 18 hours ago (6 children)

Ew, why would they party with him?

[–] Duamerthrax@lemmy.world 15 points 17 hours ago

It's a She and her name is Valentina Gomez.

[–] Shark_Ra_Thanos@lemmy.ml 4 points 18 hours ago

I'mma guess there's good reason he got...exposed.

She also questioned how the video of her dancing at a club would be released before videos of Sean “Diddy” Combs and Jeffrey Epstein – both of whom prosecutors allege engaged in sex acts with minors – are released to the public.

Because you were at a public party, you dumb fuck.

[–] Avg@lemm.ee 15 points 21 hours ago (1 children)

Also I don't want to see those other videos

[–] captainlezbian@lemmy.world 5 points 18 hours ago

I want juries to, but I’d really rather not be on those juries. I feel like I’d need therapy after seeing those videos

[–] recapitated@lemmy.world 19 points 20 hours ago

Interesting that GOP will list things that they are opposed to and then go and do them. We better make sure this dude isn't a pedo.

[–] Nougat@fedia.io 195 points 1 day ago (3 children)

School choice activist Corey DeAngelis participated in a GayHoopla adult film called “Super Star Compilation! How Many Strokes Til You Cum?!” before writing his book, The Parent Revolution: Rescuing Your Kids from the Radicals Ruining Our Schools.

Are we sure this isn't The Onion?

[–] nilloc@discuss.tchncs.de 15 points 21 hours ago

It’s always projection. Every fucking time.

I don’t want to accuse the GOP of pedophilia, but so many of their accusations have been admissions that it disgusting to even contemplate.

[–] Lucidlethargy@sh.itjust.works 2 points 14 hours ago

It's so strange that these types of people choose the GOP, because I don't think most Democrats give a shit about this. It's definitely just them taking on a strong form of projection...

It's sad. These people are just sad people running away from things their "friends" told them are evil. So they then become "the friends" to others. And here we have sad circle of GOP life. Sad people making other people sad.

[–] otter@lemmy.dbzer0.com 37 points 1 day ago

This is the same timeline that fails (refuses?) to recognize the dystopian overlap of 1984, Fahrenheit 451, Idiocracy, Margaret Atwood, ... and its own blithely un-ironic trajectory, right?

[–] celsiustimeline@lemmy.dbzer0.com 17 points 20 hours ago

Huh. It seems like all of these GOP grifters/culture warriors don't believe a single word that comes out of their own mouths. It's almost as if they're pandering to a special select group of Americans that possess very little in the way of critical thinking or even just basic thinking skills, and that group of Americans is keeping these sociopaths in power. The question then is, are we willing to only address the symptoms of a nation with the worst education system in the G7, or the root cause of all of this buffoonery? I'm saying the root cause of most of America's woes is bad education.

[–] WrenFeathers@lemmy.world 6 points 16 hours ago

If these closeted self-hating hypocritical politicians would just increase funding for mental health programs in our country, and then take part in them, maybe they’d realize that normal people wouldn’t hate them for who they are.

Maybe they’d learn than it’s only their foolish party that’s trying to buy the votes of hateful bigots and misogynists via hateful accusations and oppressive policy that seemingly hate everyone, yet can never explain in when pressed up against confession.

[–] cybervseas@lemmy.world 96 points 1 day ago* (last edited 1 day ago) (3 children)

Why do they have to be this way? What happened to these Republicans? Are they genuinely held beliefs or is it all just opportunism?

ETA: does it matter? 🙁

[–] Artyom@lemm.ee 2 points 7 hours ago

Self-contradiction is inherent to fascism and exclusionism. It is a feature, not a problem. It demonstrates that if you are something the fascists hate, you are immune from punishment if you simply support their cause. The more you support them, the more immune you are. Trump is immune from any criticism, whether it be adultery, rape, bigotry, stupidity, etc. The lower you are, the more you have to earn your protection in case they take control. This is their most important tool in recruitment, whether they understand it or not.

I'm not a psychologist but there has to be some deep-seated self-loathing from repressing their true sexuality/identity for decades. Or maybe they subconsciously feel "if I can't be who I want to be, you can't either."

[–] Samvega@lemmy.blahaj.zone 39 points 1 day ago* (last edited 1 day ago) (1 children)

I am a Psychologist. They gain status from being assholes, because enough people privilege assholes with status. Authoritarianism requires an outgroup to oppress, and people think that hostility and oppression is 'strength'. The original theory (which is not entirely supported by evidence) of the Authoritarian Personality is based on Freud, and it says that a similar family dynamic of a powerful father who arbitrarily abuses and oppresses others is the basis.

yeah I was talking about the people who also display LGBTQ behavior, not just your run of the mill republican.

This is such a weird phenomena, but also a sad one. I'm assuming she does enjoy partying with drag queens but is so ashamed about it that she decides to compensate by rallying against them, sort of like how staunch anti-gay politicians are often caught in gay acts.

Or maybe it was just some drunken lapse of her """moral beliefs""", can't really tell.

[–] baggins@lemmy.ca 16 points 22 hours ago

Does she really think drag shows involve showing genitals?

[–] sirico@feddit.uk 18 points 1 day ago* (last edited 1 day ago)

Another example of people thinking they can't be who they really are, so choose to hate the ones who can.
