Tuesday, July 2, 2024: Zingari Zischtig

Bon Monsieur is a great scent, and I somehow prefer it in the soap version (I have the perfume and the recovery splash). Also always fun to use the River kamisori.

Have a good night!

I was joking with Heather about how Americans can't pronounce 'bon' and 'monsieur'. She can't and, while I think I can, my accent is influenced by French Canadian heritage, and I'm told by some Parisians that I'm barely understandable. Only the French have that level of disdain. I love it! Speaking of France, the Tour de France started on June 29. I love sitting on the couch and watching all those guys suffer. Amazing stuff.

bon

Nasal vowels are hard if you aren't use to them

Monsieur

Normally, French spelling is transparent - but not here. That probably doesn't help, either 😱

  • Brush: Maggard 24mm Tuxedo Synthetic
  • Razor: Chiseled Face - Legacy Raw Titanium (#69)
  • Blade: Bolzano Superinox (German) (20)
  • Lather: Barrister & Mann - Reserve Fern - Soap
  • Post Shave: Barrister & Mann - Reserve Fern - Aftershave
  • Post Shave: House of Mammoth - Mood Indigo - Balm

Less of a "burn" today from this soap, almost to the point where I'd say there wasn't any. The Charky technique of "oh it burns you? Try using it more" seems to have had some effect this time.

20 uses on this blade, and it's finally showing a sign of slowing down. I also switched razors a couple of shaves ago, so if I'm feeling sciencey I'll put it back in the Wolfman Guerilla and see how it feels. Or maybe I'll just toss it... because it's just a blade.

Freedom Tuesday!

  • Brush: Zenith 506B MB (27 mm × 51 mm Manchurian badger)
  • Razor: Blackland Razors - Vector
  • Blade: Feather Professional
  • Lather: Mäurer & Wirtz Tabac Original
  • Aftershave: Mäurer & Wirtz Tabac Original
  • Fragrance: Mäurer & Wirtz Tabac Original

It's back! ♥

I revel in the glory of The Stank® trickhole after a month of lather games-induced withdrawal. Although I did have Tabac scheduled for Fougère Friday in an earlier version of my LG roster after reading this precedent, but I needed to axe it to make room for the "Science with Fuck" experiments.

I'm really enjoying @sahenders@sub.wetshaving.social's Vector. A delicate build, but a really nice shaver!

Nice! I'm glad you're enjoying the razor.

  • Brush: Oumo Compass Bonfire 27mm Emperor-2

  • Razor: ERN 6/8 French Point Full Hollow

  • Lather: Mäurer and Wirtz - Tabac - Soap

  • Aftershave: Mäurer & Wirtz - Tabac - Aftershave

  • Fragrance: Mäurer & Wirtz - Tabac - Eau de Toilette

2 passes. Face lather. Good shave.

This was a quick shave this morning. I needed to get out of the house early and have just now returned late in the day. This was one of those rare 85°F days with no wind and very low humidity. A perfect day for remote control sailplanes. Naturally, I was stylin' with the Stank®.
