Twelfth Day of TabOKtoberfest - Belgian Travel Edition

  • Brush: Mühle Travel Brush
  • Razor: Dovo 41 Inox
  • Lather: Mäurer & Wirtz – Tabac Original Stick
  • Post Shave: Mäurer & Wirtz – Tabac Original
  • Fragrance: Mäurer & Wirtz – Tabac Original

Yesterday, I walked past "Au Grand Rasoir" (= "At the big razor"), a 200-year old cutlery shop with a decent wetshaving section. It's right there, near my hotel, tempting me. I really don't need to buy a Thiers Issard razor right now, but I'm not sure I'll be able to walk past that window many times without going in, and then all bets are off 😅

Good shave this morning, The Stank Stick® is really good stuff, but I kinda wish I had brought a bigger brush. Maybe "Au Grand Rasoir" can help me with that?

Cutlery shops! Even though my son lives in Paris, I finally have a good reason to return to Europe.

Thiers Issard. Of course you need one :)

I was easily convinced, of course, but I ran into trouble

Oh my, a brick and mortar store for wetshaving would be such a great experience. I'd say give it a go - even just for the fun of visiting one.

Btw, my app has some problems with PMs currently, unfortunately I can't reply to any of your messages. But judging by the tracking link, your soap has reached Germany and could be here by the weekend!

I tried and failed

Unfortunate that the shop is closed 😔

So, unfortunately I missed your package due to a shopping trip - but I can fetch it by 15:00 tomorrow from the shop just across the street! Thanks again.

Yeah, I wasn't taking no for an answer and came back 😅

In looking forward to hear whether the soaps will work well for you!

Au Grand Rasoir

Thanks! Added to my Want to Go list next time we are in Bruxelles.

That sounds like you're here regularly. Do you live in the region?

[–] sahenders 2 points 1 year ago

Yeah, it's close enough to visit over a weekend. Maybe not regularly, but we've enjoyed the trips we've taken.
