I'm sorry but no, that is not at all what hexbear people have tried to tell me. They have repeatedly said that no one died in the event at all, with no distinction made about it happening on the square or not. I'm glad that doesn't seem to be what you think, but i also don't appreciate being told what I've experienced. This has happened several times and not once have they expressed the nuance you have here.

Does it not bother you that you're having to resort to outright lying?

[–] BearGun@ttrpg.network 0 points 1 week ago (1 children)

No, because I'm not. This was what i experienced when i first came to lemmy a bit over a year ago (i think? It was when reddit made their api paid). Things may have changed since, i wouldn't know since i blocked the instance after i was sure of what was going on after like a month.

I'm not interested in arguing about whether you're telling the truth or not: I know you're not, and you know you're not. I'm just curious about whether having to knowingly lie like you are cause you to question your position.

Well, you seem to be more certain about this than i have been about anything, ever. Really no point to argue anything at that point.

I'd like to see the specific examples, because I have only seen what I explained to you, and I have a Hexbear account. I even linked the ProleWiki page, which is maintained by many Lemmygrad members and can in some fashion be seen as the general "Lemmygrad line."

This was like a year ago and i have had the instance blocked since, so that would be difficult. Just know that there are reasons most of lemmy hates hexbear, this not least of them. Anyways, i think we're done here, have a nice day.

I hope you don't take this the wrong way, but if you don't prove it, I am not going to believe it exists. You aren't the first to make a claim about Hexbear that is mysteriously unable or unwilling to back it up, and you're not going to be the last I imagine. The real reason the liberal side of Lemmy hates Hexbear is because Hexbear has a high concentration of Marxists.

That's fair, let's just agree to disagree.
