In this community everyone is welcome to post links and discuss topics related to privacy.

Some Rules

Posting a link to a website containing tracking isn't great, if contents of the website are behind a paywall maybe copy them into the post
Don't promote proprietary software
Try to keep things on topic
If you have a question, please try searching for previous discussions, maybe it has already been answered
Reposts are fine, but should have at least a couple of weeks in between so that the post can reach a new audience

Decided to buy Minecraft on a separate, anonymous Outlook account to delete one of my existing old Outlook accounts and stumbled upon this.

Once they add a mob API maybe. Mobs pakages in lua are laggy.

You can't really torrent it, the game version gets downloaded when you start it, so you'd either have to torrent every version you want to download or download everything at once, which would take way too much space. The thing is, you don't even need to. You can make an account without buying the game and you can still play it. There's dedicated launchers for playing the game with an account that doesn't own it.

Also, Veloren is not similar to Minecraft at all, even if it's still a very good game. There's Minetest tho, which is also open source and it has a gamemode as a mod, which tries to be a copy of Minecraft.

UltiMC launcher - no torrents needed. Its a "cracked" fork of MultiMC launcher. If having a custom name and skin are important, it supports ely.by.

PollyMC is better, it also supports alternative auth servifes with libauthinjector and can download Curseforge modpacks (Yeah, you should use modrinth, but most good modpacks are only available on Curse)

Mintest + mineclonia really scratches the Minecraft itch, but I've not played a ton of Minecraft since the acquisition.
