having the app where the men can't make a move unless the women contact you? Will not work wtf was she thinking?

I mean, it did work though. It was one of the top dating apps for a long time.

but there are still plenty of random little things I'd like to hang on to it for.

Changing email addresses is a nightmare, I know. A lot of companies are not event technologically equipped to handle it because, as far as they're concerned, your email address IS your account, and account numbers are not a thing. But you need to bite the bullet and get it done. That sounds like a huge security vulnerability.

It's a Microsoft account, and my windows is tied to it

"tied to it" how? Use a local account. No Microsoft necessary. Alternatively, stop using Windows ๐Ÿ˜€

Requiring people to create an account just to see anything is a sure way to immediately drive off any potential new users.

Blame Apple. They're the ones requiring people to get proprietary paid accounts for the privilege of distributing software for their shitty devices.

officially Proton must always be politically neutral

It is not and should not be. Proton should (and does) advocate for consumer privacy rights, even donating to orgs like GrapheneOS and EFF. These actions are active participation in American politics. You repeatedly lie that these are not political positions when they very clearly are.

What you CAN do is refrain from sweeping statements about entire political parties. Stick to the facts. Stick to individual people and specific issues.

The fact that this needs to be explained to a CEO is astonishing.

When was the last time Meta cared about what anybody wanted?

It wasn't one particular thing, he made sweeping judgements about entire political parties.

Dems had a choice between the progressive wing (Bernie Sanders, etc), versus corporate Dems, but in the end money won and constituents lost. Until corporate Dems are thrown out, the reality is that Republicans remain more likely to tackle Big Tech abuses.

If he wants to call out Democrats for not doing enough, I'll be right behind him, but to says such ludicrous things as conservatives are "looking out for the little guys" while tech oligarchs are praising Trump and sending him tens of millions of dollars and lining up to attend his inauguration ceremony shows wild levels of ignorance and incompetence that someone in such a position absolutely should not have.

Are these your screenshots? If so, what hardware and OS are you running, out of curiosity?

[โ€“] Ulrich@feddit.org 19 points 19 hours ago

You can report these.
