Yup. We keep learning the same thing over and over: Don't hero worship people, demand they be better and stay better or don't support them.

He will eventually do something that will make the OP situation look like nothing, just like Elon, Joanne, or Trump. It's just a matter of time.

You should demand better then either, neither should be in charge of a sandwich shop, let alone a country.

My guess is in 10 years we will see him run for president similar to Trump. This won't end well.

I say this as a millennial who drinks and actually did whisky tasting as my main hobby with reviews for 12 years; I get it. I worked with and in the alcohol industry. They have no clue. It's all ego and razor thin margins and old ways of running a business. They are heavily resistant to change of any sort. They will not be able to handle this at all.

Add to that they are owned by rich people as vanity projects who want their ROI ASAP at levels that healthier margin/growth industries could barely achieve and we will start seeing them disappear. Which is too bad, because it's centuries of tradition in some cases, and I find it tasty.

Merchants have become so powerful that I, a serf, have been taught number solely to account for every penny they make. For this, I'm allowed to live an okay life. I do it with magic (Excel) because they are so big and don't want to hire many of me. They still act like the Dutch and East India Companies, with slightly fewer atrocities.

Totally, never buy the pre portioned ones. Always make them from scratch.

Go for some burgers, toast the buns, salt the tomatoes, setup caramelized onions, and use a nice cheese. Homemade buns go the extra mile.
