The sidebar says that people should understand what veganism is before commenting and that pushing carnism is a bannable offense. This is why we have the community !debate_a_vegan@lemmy.world for these kinds of discussions.

This post you're talking about is the majority dunking on the minority. Eating meat is not a neutral position between carnism and veganism.

Well said the majority will often want to oppress the minority.

The phrase “common sense” is flawed as the majority have been wrong about certain topics in the past like lobotomies being used to “correct problematic behaviour”.

I respectfully disagree with this policy change as debate communities have their place in allowing discourse on topics.

California should respond by funding fediverse projects.

 
 

I would say for one modders would have much more information on the base to work with.

 

Lemmy is active enough as is and the apps are great but I still have that unfortunate ingrained habit where I keep coming back to abusive Reddit.

I should instead focus my attention to contributing to the conversation here, sharing articles and creating original content.

 

This is giving me the same vibes as the sick Duolingo App Icon people were not so crazy about.
