Five years? They need $100 billion at least monthly! It's ridiculous the way Republicans treat these innocent people

The thing is, all companies have been manipulating what you see for ages. They are so used to it being the norm, they don't know how to not do it. Algorithms, boosting, deboosting, shadow bans, etc. They sre themselves as the arbiters of the"truth" they want you to have. It's for your own good.

To get to the truth, we'd have to dismantle everything and start from the ground up. And hope during the rebuild, someone doesn't get the same bright idea to reshape the truth into something they wish it could be.

They'd have better luck building a huge wall and inspecting everything that comes through.

I tried the Win11 compatibility app once, it said i wasn't compatible due to some BIOS settings I needed to change. Nah, I'm good, and it hasn't bugged me to upgrade since.

If he's bad, shouldn't everything he touches be bad? Why web site that uses JavaScript should be just as bad. Any browser based on Mozilla should be bad. Why is it just Brave that's bad for what he did in 2008?

I took July off from any of this stuff. After Sync released (my preferred app before), I've come to lemmy to try to see how it's going, but honestly, I've lost most of the desire to blindly browse random stuff like I did.
