Not that anyone should feel obligated to shave their head, but one major thing is that his hair is literally his livelihood. He may be under contract not to change his appearance, and shaving one's head (especially at that age) might do permanent damage.
I doubt that Dave would want John to shave his head. But they're good friends, and our opinion from the sidelines doesn't really matter that much.
Isn't shaving one's head an "empty performative stunt"? It doesn't provide any benefit to the cancer patient.

Doesn't mean they don't like Gen Z. They're overworked and underpaid. But I can't stress enough that that's our fault. (I might put more blame on the Boomers running things.) We're not prioritizing education and you can't blame the people in school for that.

Surely the 65 year old marrying a 24 year old deserves exactly as much shame as she does. Do you think his motives are any less selfish than hers?
One day, maybe white people will be held responsible for other white people the way you hold minorites responsible for their families. Maybe then you'll understand how dumb it is to cherry pick the few worst of you, and pretend that they're representative of the bunch. It is amazing how many white liberals are excited to see innocent people punished because someone who looks kinda like them voted for Trump.

China doesn't call themselves "the leader of the free world" or "a shining city on a hill". Sure, freedom of speech is generally better in the US than China (but don't think that nobody ever gets put in jail for criticizing the government.) The fact remains that the US kills a lot of people.
I'm not Chinese. I can't affect Chinese policy at all. I focus on the US because my voice is supposed to matter here, allegedly.
