Of course you do? There are jobs that won't put you through bullshit just to work there. I never said it wasn't fine, but making you jump through hoops is a sign of a bad workplace.

"Digital Autism" is not supported by current research to be a real thing. Autistic children are more likely to be attracted to technology as a substitute for social interactions though.

That's the same thing

Can't say I've ever had to wrangle it but sometimes it gets stuck to one side and that isn't great

My job has no cover letter, 2 interviews and it's probably the best dev job I've had. All about finding a company that values your time as a person and not just as an employee. If they make you jump through bs to get hired, they're gonna make you jump through BS to work. I could make 20k more at one of those companies but id hate my work and have no balance.

I never apply to jobs that require a cover letter. Most of them have shitty work environments anyways

I guess what I meant by technical knowledge meant to be less about general tech and more about specifically LLM tech

[–] Daxtron2@startrek.website 4 points 8 months ago (2 children)

That and bias, absolutely need improvements. That doesn't mean LLMs can't be extremely effective if given appropriate tasks. The problem is that the people who make decisions about where they're used aren't technical enough to understand their strengths and limitations

Says all you need to know about their opinion lol

Anything math related from before high school, it gets dumbed down too much and once you get the actual way to do it in higher math classes, it made a lot more sense to me.

So don't use it?

[–] Daxtron2@startrek.website 5 points 8 months ago

Huh, didn't know that! Thanks, super useful
