Has anyone figured out how to do user mentions here?

Not sure, but do I interpret https://github.com/LemmyNet/lemmy/issues/715 correctly that it isn't implemented?
I get the impression you can link users but not notify them. @djundjila@sub.wetshaving.social did you get a notification of this?
Yay, it works locally. Just not across the federation, apparently. Small problem, though
Oh, cool! So it does work, @PorkButtsNTaters666@sub.wetshaving.social. Just type the @ sign, the first few letters of the user’s name, then a pop up thing will come up for you to click and tag them.
Thanks!
That issue complains that it works only for comments, and not for posts (like on reddit).
I was wondering whether it even worked for comments, and it does! yay
Thanks, hello back! It works locally on this instance, but apparently not across the federation to mastodon
Is there a mobile way to access this?
I guess we need to maybe start a wiki, for these kinds of questions, right?
There is Jerboa, which is open source (I 'm on Android and using this). It's not bad, but there are certain things you can't do (for instance, sending PMs or responding to your own posts; editing your own posts should be possible, but doesn't work for me).
The UI of Jerboa is more compact than the browser version. I'm not sure on what I will settle - maybe a combination of both. Using Firefox on Android works well.
Edit: Jerboa just got an upgrade, which they say is a big one.
The iOS client is very limited. Frankly the mobile web interface is pretty darn good. If only Christian would port Apollo to Lemmy...
There are several mobile apps, which can be found at https://www.join-lemmy.org/apps
I’ve been using the website and it works well on mobile.
A wiki would be useful
Also @merikus@sub.wetshaving.social I made it
Agreed about a wiki, but it doesn’t appear to have that functionality. We could use the actual wiki software and set up wiki.WetShaving.social, which would make the wiki platform independent which would be cool.
I just reported a post by @merikus@sub.wetshaving.social. Did you get it?
I did! It worked well.
Great!
Is there a way of PMing someone here? I see I can report or block someone, but I can't find PMs (nor does my Google Fu turn up anything).
Edit: found it in the browser, doesn't seem to be possible in Jerboa
@wetshavingadmin I’m curious. What happens if I reply on Mastodon to a Lemmy thread?
Oh wow that’s awesome. First comment was a Mastodon reply. If you follow @wetshaving@sub.WetShaving.social on Mastodon, you’ll see all posts here. Then you can respond on Mastodon and it also shows up here. Neat.
So the only problem with following @wetshaving is that you will get a stream of every post and comment on the WetShaving subLemmy. If you follow @wetshavingadmin you’ll only get the automod posts of the SOTD and DQ threads and stuff (which currently aren’t automod because I can’t get the bot to work, so I pretend it’s an automod until then).
