Everyone here talking about sweet desserts, and I'm like, "Steak and Ale pie"

Same, it's become a favorite dish to make once fall hits.

Strawberry Rhubarb has been my favorite since I was a kid. Sweet and tart and delicious.

It's strawberry season around here so have some fresh homemade pie right now so I'm pretty happy

Growing up, my Nana and Papa had a pear tree, and Nana used her apple pie recipe but with those pears instead. She only did it once as far as I know, and later they cut down the tree, but I still miss that pie!

Damn that's tough, but pecan pie for sure.

[–] NeuroNate@lemmy.world 3 points 1 year ago

Now that I see pecan, I’m a little less sure about saying peach

Pecan pie is a local favorite. Where I grew up, there was a pecan farm that has since closed down. But pecan pie was everywhere all the time!

That's a shame it closed down. I love the imagery that story put in my head, thanks for sharing it!!

Lemon Meringue with warm cream poured over.

Bruh! Lemon meringue was my favorite until I found key lime!

Now I want some lemon meringue pie...

Overall, probably strawberry rhubarb, despite the fact that I'm otherwise not a big strawberry fan.

However, I make lemon meringue pie from scratch every now and then, and my lemon meringue pie is my favorite pie of all. I've gotten my crust recipe dialed in, and I've gotten my curd making tuned for exactly the right consistency. After I got mine down, I don't like other people's as much as I used to.

But key lime pie? It isn't my favorite, but damn is it good :)

Same. Key lime is sooo good!

[–] Ungeneer@lemm.ee 3 points 1 year ago

Btw Adam Ragusea’s recipe is the best key lime pie i’ve ever tried https://youtu.be/sVACC4fFNfk

Triple berry or razzleberry. Just the right amount of sweet and tart.

Shoofly pie for me. For anyone unfamiliar it’s the usual pie crust with a filling that’s like a gooey molasses cake.

Boston cream pie, which is really cake masquerading as pie. (I love cake.) I do particularly love Dutch apple pie though, with the crumbly topping.

Y’all are sleeping on cherry pie and I’m not ok with it.

Also, Apple.

If it's done right, coconut cream pie is my favourite for sure. But raspberry is a close second.

[–] mysterygm@lemmy.world 1 points 1 year ago

My favorite is custard pie!

Pumpkin is my favorite, it's relatively hard to get wrong, usually not messy, and it tastes so good.
