Anyone who installs a beta os on their phone should know this is a risk. Beta should never be assumed to be stable. In my book the only people who should be running it are those who are tech savvy enough and okay with losing all of their data and starting fresh and those with a second phone.

I love me some bleeding edge stuff, but this is the reason why I avoid beta testing on essential devices like my phone. My linux OS, mobile apps (like for lemmy), and other stuff are fair game.

Yup, and that’s exactly why it’s a Beta. To work out the bugs. The fact this is an article is kind of sensationalist.
