We can follow lemmy accounts from Mastodon but I was wondering if we can do it the other way round?

I tried searching the username of some Masodon accounts into the search bar on Lemmy and nothing came up but when I search up the username of any Lemmy account, they do show up.

So, I'm guessing it's not yet possible?

This is why kbin exists. It's a Lemmy/Mastodon combo service.

No, the devs have explicitly stated they don't want to add following users to Lemmy.

No, but it is possible to follow a PeerTube channel.

Are you sure you can follow Lemmy users from Mastodon? Is it not only communities that you can follow from Mastodon?

yes Mastodon allows you to follow Lemmy users, here's mine for example

https://mastodon.gamedev.place/@Die4Ever@programming.dev

and as you said, communities work too

You can follow a community from Mastodon. But not the other way round currently iirc.
