I once called Hezbollah dumb and got my comment removed by Dessalines, for breaking rule 2: be respectful 🤭

It’s nice to have the option, but I feel like 20GB doesn’t really do much. Especially if it’s for storing photos.

It could be nice if they could set a $/GB price, so I could customise the amount of storage instead.

If you can live without Discord, then Matrix or Revolt could be of interest.

SMTP2GO - 1000 free emails a month, 200 emails a per day.

No offence, but is Docker really the best way of running NC in a professional environment? Also, if you don’t want Docker to upgrade to latest image, don’t use the “latest” tag in your configuration.

It's 13 years on mine, if interested: peertube.wtf

Yea, a minimum of 13 years old is pretty common. Also something I agree with, as I don’t think kids under 13 should be on social media.

What are your criteria for a good instance? I host one myself, so genuinely curious.

Nebula is a good option, but now you've created a paywall. Now only people who can afford it, can watch the content and what is to keep Nebula from upping the price of the subscription?

If ads is out of the question, then content creators need to use sponsors and patrons, if they want to make a living.

[–] meldrik@lemmy.wtf 0 points 1 week ago

Are you talking about sponsors? Because yes, that has nothing to do with YT ads.

[–] meldrik@lemmy.wtf 0 points 1 week ago (12 children)

That depends. If they only make a living with YT ads, then it’s going to be hard.

I'm looking into getting Proton for business and one of the reasons is to use the SMTP to send email from Lemmy.wtf.

In the comparison list, it says it is included, but in the FAQ, it says that the SMTP service is only for select businesses?

I am not looking for something like permify, but something like Snipe-IT, but for permissions and roles given to users.

Like an overview of which systems, software etc. a user has access to.

Does something like that exists?
