  • Prep: hot shower
  • Brush: Yaqi Cashmere Synthetic Shaving Brush, Dandelion Green Handle, 24mm
  • Razor: Gillette Aristocrat (1948-50)
  • Blade: Lord Super Chrome (1)
  • Lather: Barrister & Mann - Presto Shaving Soap
  • Post Shave: Nivea - Moisturizing Post Shave Balm

First time using my Aristocrat in several months, I finally got around to fixing it. And by fix I mean I finally got around to gluing the end cap back on. The process seems to have worked well, but time will tell if it stays on. Fingers crossed.

I admit it. I'm missing Bleu Man. I really enjoy Bleu de Chanel EdP.

Great pic, btw!

Last hurrah on summer scents, fall is imminent. Which I'm actually happy about, I love fall weather.

I took a break from samples this morning to enjoy a Boonana trickhole. I've seen several people use the set over the last few days and I felt possessed to do the same.

3 passes. Face lather. Excellent shave.

I did an edge refresh on this razor so I could bring it into the mix for this month. The edge used to be synthetic and now it is a Jnat edge. Today's shave was typically close and comfortable for this "14" format -- which means exceptional. However, I'm left wondering if I didn't leave some level of keenness on the stone. This is mostly about the way the way water moved across the blade while I was sharpening. But the stone is rather small and the Fili 14 is the largest razor I've had on it. Sharpness testing produced excellent results. All this was on my mind while shaving so I was distracted from an excellent Fili 14 shave.

Enjoy your day!
