World would need some Good Guy Greg right now
Ask Lemmy
A Fediverse community for open-ended, thought provoking questions
Rules: (interactive)
1) Be nice and; have fun
Doxxing, trolling, sealioning, racism, and toxicity are not welcomed in AskLemmy. Remember what your mother said: if you can't say something nice, don't say anything at all. In addition, the site-wide Lemmy.world terms of service also apply here. Please familiarize yourself with them
2) All posts must end with a '?'
This is sort of like Jeopardy. Please phrase all post titles in the form of a proper question ending with ?
3) No spam
Please do not flood the community with nonsense. Actual suspected spammers will be banned on site. No astroturfing.
4) NSFW is okay, within reason
Just remember to tag posts with either a content warning or a [NSFW] tag. Overtly sexual posts are not allowed, please direct them to either !asklemmyafterdark@lemmy.world or !asklemmynsfw@lemmynsfw.com.
NSFW comments should be restricted to posts tagged [NSFW].
5) This is not a support community.
It is not a place for 'how do I?', type questions.
If you have any questions regarding the site itself or would like to report a community, please direct them to Lemmy.world Support or email info@lemmy.world. For other questions check our partnered communities list, or use the search function.
6) No US Politics.
Please don't post about current US Politics. If you need to do this, try !politicaldiscussion@lemmy.world or !askusa@discuss.online
Reminder: The terms of service apply here too.

Feelings will be hurt, but Insanity Wolf always gave me a chuckle
This could also work with Bad Luck Brian or even a bit with Hide The Pain Harold.
I think Milhouse would be a great meme.
I genuinely miss Rage Comics.
Y U NO MAKE NEW COMICS THEN???
FFFFFFFUUUUUUUUUUUUU
Rage comics and advice animals had the perfect combination of communicating event and emotion caused by the event simply and straightforwardly.
My favorite rage comics were the ones that had no text. Just a series of shittily drawn stick figures carrying out whatever task, followed by the frustrated, happy, angry, depressed, etc. reaction that we all can relate to.
RIP F7U12
It dies and revived as wojak
Rage>wojak
These were honestly pretty great. So expressive. And usually funny.
We are coming up on the big weekend:

I miss "they be stealing my bucket", but that might well be just me.
I say "I has a bucket" almost every time I pick up a bucket
May nobody ever be stealing your bucket, my friend.
This is the way.
Oh man you just brought all these memories for me. This was my first intro to memes back in high school and my friend showing me the Can I Haz Cheeseburger site.
Yearbook class was the best.
Whenever I need my public IP address: curl icanhazip.com
I miss demotivationals, but seeing as motivational posters aren't plastered everywhere anymore I guess the satire would fall kinda flat
With all our technology we still haven't found a viable replacement for "yo dog I heard you like x". Our ecosystem suffers from this unfilled niche. The time for deextinction is now.
In my heart Xzibit memes never went away.
Why not Zoidberg?
Joseph Ducreux translating modern rap lyrics into 1700s English.
Generally advice animals. Everything's a label meme these days
we need a modernisation of ytmnd. something embeddable.
Its sad that the doge meme got associated with cryptocurrency and NFT
