Take people with low empathy and train them up in psychological manipulation and covert operations. Color me shocked that this happened.

Color me shocked.

I had to help give CPR to someone recently, and their eyes were partly open. Got me wondering whether they were partly conscious while I was doing compressions.

We'll I'll agree that it's better than c:/user/home/technicallythetruth/

Let's start with the second part of your question? How do you make someone understand that invading another country is not a good thing?

The Washington Post estimated that during his presidency, Trump made more than 30,000 false or misleading statements.

Sounds like another reason not to use Chrome.

Isn't this just more of what caused the problem in the first place? Namely, centralisation. If you store data locally and you lose a machine, that's bad but not the end of the world. If you store it centrally and you lose the data, that's catastrophic. Nassim Taleb nailed this stuff. Keep the downside limited, and the upside unlimited or as he says, "Don't pick up pennies in front of a steamroller."

Are you sure you are on the right server? I think Lemmy.ml is probably more your bubble.

Hi everyone, had anyone played with alternative battery technology to try and bring the cost of storage down when weight and space are not an issue? Zinc bromine? Nicole iron?

I've recently started getting API responses from an instance at lemmy.thesanewriter.com that seem to be a change in specification, or maybe a bug.

GetCommunityResponse: moderators: List[CommunityModeratorView]

CommunityModeratorView moderator: Person

Person: admin: bool

The admin field is no longer being supplied.

Does anyone have any insight into the cause/source of this change?

Thanks in advance.

I'm trying to work out how to get a parent comment (if any) of a comment. The API documentation lists an attribute of comments 'path', which seems to hold a real, but it doesn't explain anywhere (that I could find), how to derive the parent comment from that.

Can anyone point me towards a resource to help me work this out?

Thanks in advance.

Written in Python. Originally started to flag toxic content for Mod followup, but it’s growing to do other things too.

Still very much a work in progress. Currently in use in !asklemmy
