The fucknut Orange Nero described himself.

[–] aarRJaay@lemm.ee 4 points 58 minutes ago

And yet one of them is in the White House running things

[–] Phoenicianpirate@lemm.ee 12 points 2 hours ago

As an autistic person (and no, we don't throw Nazi Salutes as stimming...) I honest to fucking god am so numbed by this guy's bullshit that it is kinda incredible.

All I could think of is how the mentally disabled were the first victims of the holocaust in WW2. Starting in 1939 around the time of the invasion of Poland.

The accident is 100% on Elon Musk and Trump. They fired the FAA safety officials and never replaced them, in addition to cutting massive amounts of funding and personnel that made an accident like this inevitable.

Fuck him. Fuck him HARD.

[–] Sam_Bass@lemmy.world 14 points 3 hours ago

So he actually blames himself. Fair enough

[–] aesthelete@lemmy.world 2 points 1 hour ago* (last edited 1 hour ago) (1 children)

I agree that it is the fault of people with severe intellectual disabilities, psychiatric problems, or other mental and physical conditions...namely Donald J. Trump and Elon Musk both of whom are donkey-brained narcissists that have untold amounts of health problems including ketamine addiction, incontinence, HGH chest, and anhedonia.

[–] Marleyinoc@lemmy.world 1 points 33 minutes ago

They're a clear and present danger to the country.

[–] captainlezbian@lemmy.world 17 points 4 hours ago (1 children)

Oh hey, we're headed towards useless eaters rhetoric really quickly

[–] DicJacobus@lemmy.world 1 points 3 hours ago (1 children)

If you dont have a net worth that's 6 figures minimum, or come from a nice family with a background of being an american "patriot" or otherwise having come from a not-shithole country. then you're a useless eater.

[–] captainlezbian@lemmy.world 2 points 2 hours ago (1 children)

"Useless eaters" are a term with a specific history of explicit oppression of the disabled (usually ablism is merely implicit).

[–] DicJacobus@lemmy.world 1 points 2 hours ago* (last edited 2 hours ago)

Im aware. Im re-using the term with 21st century moron-think

I have literally heard strikingly similar arguments to the "useless eaters" rhetoric in refernece to everything from housing, jobs, and even f'ing gadgets.

have heard maniacs say "we gotta have a depopulation if we're gonna be able to continue affording our quality of life"

[–] RizzRustbolt@lemmy.world 2 points 3 hours ago

Looks like we're in the "degenerate" stage of fascism now.

[–] collapse_already@lemmy.ml 92 points 8 hours ago (1 children)

Timeline:

Jan 20 - Federal Aviation Administration Director fired.

Jan. 21 - Air Traffic Controller hiring frozen

Jan. 22 - Aviation Safety Advisory Committee disbanded

Jan. 28 - Buyout/retirement demand sent to existing employees

Jan. 29 - first American mid-air collision in 16 years

By golly, Trump is actually correct. Someone with severe intellectual disabilities did fuck us over.

[–] wellheh@lemmy.sdf.org 10 points 3 hours ago (1 children)

It's mind boggling anyone would even try to dismantle the FAA- they're one of the most boring organizations out there and their #1 concern is safety. There's even tons of money to be made while worrying about safety, so it is so odd to do this. Trying to reduce air traffic controllers is an insane idea in general- without them everyone's flying blind. It's gonna take decades to figure out all the damage this moron has done just like with Reagan

[–] drthunder@midwest.social 2 points 2 hours ago (1 children)

And it's one of the most useful government offices if you're a billionaire who travels by plane everywhere. Plebs who have to drive everywhere are a lot less affected by overworked, overstressed, underpaid ATCs than guys like him.

[–] SL3wvmnas@discuss.tchncs.de 1 points 18 minutes ago

Well thanks to the ElonJet guy they know where all the important planes are.... Who needs flight control when you have xcom /s

[–] brucethemoose@lemmy.world 19 points 7 hours ago* (last edited 7 hours ago) (1 children)

And once again, Trump controlled the conversation, and all the actual evidence is out there window for most people.

It would be awesome if there was an unspoken “don’t feed the troll” understanding among journalists, influencers, mods, forum commenters, everyone. When Trump says something outrageously stupid, just… briefly acknowledge it, and then ignore it and proceed as usual. Like he doesn’t exist.

That’s a narcissist’s worst fear.

Sure, he'd bounce around in the conservative echo chamber, but at least he wouldn’t pull more people in.

[–] Deceptichum@quokk.au 0 points 4 hours ago* (last edited 4 hours ago)

And yet in another post you're arguing for people not trying to take control of the narrative and tie it to his firing if aviation safety advisors.

You just want everyone to be silent on Trump, except Trump.

It would be awesome if every time he did something, that he was properly challenged.

Oh and those alt-right echo chambers started before Trump and them growing was what enabled him. Ignore them at your own peril.

[–] ZeffSyde@lemmy.world 20 points 9 hours ago (2 children)

He should work a shift as an air traffic controller so that people can understand he's just a regular guy like they are.

He's not qualified. He is considered to have to much mental degradation and is barred by federal law to hold a position that important.

...wait

[–] hovercat@lemmy.blahaj.zone 15 points 8 hours ago (1 children)

People are already suffering and dying because of him, let's not make it any easier for him to take lives.

[–] LostWon@lemmy.ca 3 points 4 hours ago

A simulated shift, maybe.

[–] T00l_shed@lemmy.world 29 points 10 hours ago

He's talking about himself

[–] Blackmist@feddit.uk 56 points 11 hours ago (1 children)

"We may never find out what caused this terrible tragedy, but rest assured that a minority was involved."

[–] IhaveCrabs111@lemmy.world 18 points 11 hours ago

I agree with trumps sentiment. Old, fat, stupid, senile people should not be in positions that need to make critical decisions.

[–] flop_leash_973@lemmy.world 10 points 8 hours ago

Amazes me that after the initial COVID response and just his entire public life, that anyone seems surprised that Trump is not the kind of person that should be making speeches about somber and serious subjects.

Let alone be in charge of the response to them, but that ship has sailed.

[–] Tramort@programming.dev 29 points 11 hours ago (1 children)

Please bring another slander lawsuit against him

[–] aquinteros@lemmy.world 13 points 10 hours ago (1 children)

yeah, he is god emperor immune... that's a waste of time

[–] AA5B@lemmy.world 7 points 8 hours ago

At the very least it’s another fact that will join him down into history. It’s not enough that he’s the worst president ever, we can tank his stats so no one ever comes close

[–] LordWiggle@lemmy.world 23 points 12 hours ago (1 children)

And Trump knows best, he has all the listed conditions himself.

[–] Ronno@feddit.nl 9 points 11 hours ago

In some way, it also symbolizes what he is doing to the country. His plane is just a bit bigger.

[–] meathorse@lemmy.world 16 points 12 hours ago (1 children)

Next time AF1 goes for a jaunt to pedo-island, the air traffic controllers that trump is insulting have an opportunity to become really American heroes...

[–] Zron@lemmy.world 5 points 8 hours ago

It would be great if every ATC suddenly denied Air Force 1 take off clearance because they “need a little extra time to ensure the president’s safety”

[–] phoenixz@lemmy.ca 33 points 15 hours ago (2 children)

More correct headline:

Trump yet again lies by making up rambling story about imaginary people causing an airliner crash before the dead bodies have gone cold

Airplane crashes a lot of times are very complicated with a lot of important factors leading up to the crash. This, combined with usually complete carnage and destruction, makes it that typical investigations take weeks, months, sometimes years.

Even if trump had been able to form a coherent message about the cause of this crash it would have been bullshit because never in the history of aviation did we know for certain what the cause of a crash was within 16 hours of a crash. It's. That. Simple.

Then again, this is trump, and no investigation will be made because this will become the official reason, the end

[–] Amanduh@lemm.ee 1 points 2 hours ago

The bodies all came from a very cold river

[–] bane_killgrind@slrpnk.net 17 points 15 hours ago

Trump yet again lies by making up rambling story about imaginary people

You could have said the same thing about the eating dogs and cats diatribe.

He's lampshading the next groups he's going to round up. I bet there's going to be an expansion of mental health intake and transfers of the "criminal" insane to the new camps that are getting opened up.

[–] HootinNHollerin@lemmy.dbzer0.com 35 points 18 hours ago* (last edited 6 hours ago) (1 children)

He blamed it on DEI and NTSB ex chief said trump did more to degrade the safety they’ve built than anyone in 40 years
