Summary

Simone and Malcolm Collins, outspoken advocates of a “pronatalist” agenda, envision a model city-state focused on increasing birth rates and “genetically selected” citizens to counter demographic decline.

Simone, a candidate for Pennsylvania’s legislature, supports Trump, Elon Musk, and a conservative agenda with Silicon Valley backing. The couple’s controversial ideas include selective voting rights, targeting the “elites,” and embryo selection based on intelligence.

Despite their fringe positions, they seek to influence politics by mobilizing conservative voters, promoting family values, and experimenting with low-cost election tactics to sway swing districts.

The couple’s pronatalist foundation received significant funding from Estonian billionaire Jaan Tallinn. Child protective services (CPS) have visited the family twice following scrutiny over their parenting.

Sounds like eugenics. Crazy Painter from Austria would be proud.

Yeah Gerstl!

[–] FlyingSquid@lemmy.world 33 points 2 weeks ago

I'm sure nothing could go wrong with the Brave New World they envision.

lol those are the people, in the picture, those people are arguing for superior genetics? Wife is super unattractive, guy looks beta af, both parents have glasses. They are obviously not very smart. And Silicon Valley is backing this? Aside from VC douchebags and execs, Silicon Valley has a ton of immigrants, because we can’t be bothered to educate native born US children properly to do these jobs.

It's just "behold the master race" with a college education.

That's always the case isn't it?

I laughed a couple years ago at them on Reddit too.

"Counter demographic decline"

Holy fuck is that some crazy shit right there. Didn't make it past that sentence. Imagine white washing "creating a master race" with something almost acceptable sounding. Fuck right off.

As i reread the article i can no longer find that quote. Not sure what happened so take my words with a grain of salt now i guess.

[–] DreadPirateShawn@lemmy.blahaj.zone 5 points 2 weeks ago (1 children)

Second paragraph, "demographic collapse". You're not crazy. 🙂

[–] Bakkoda@sh.itjust.works 1 points 2 weeks ago

"If only we could have prevented all these hereditary diseases somehow!"

[–] heavy@sh.itjust.works 8 points 2 weeks ago

This is one weird way to advertise a swinger's party.

[–] snekerpimp@lemmy.world 8 points 2 weeks ago

Watched “Gattica” and “Aeon Flux” in the same night and said “wow babe, that looks like paradise!” This timeline has some really shitty parts in it, doesn’t it?

[–] Spacehooks@reddthat.com 5 points 2 weeks ago

I mean we could work on the root cause of demographic decline?

Naaa that will effect our corporate donors! Let's just make a dumb solution that can be capitalized!

[–] Num10ck@lemmy.world 3 points 2 weeks ago

[–] penquin@lemm.ee 2 points 2 weeks ago
