I mean people at the time were pretty fucking racist, so its definitely realistic.
Is that the case? I mean this is long before nation states or the north Atlantic slave trade or anything. I'm not romanticizing, people looted, had slaves, fought meaningless wars, but all independently of race. Besides, the first nations of turtle island are not really red.
This is roughly what we believe Leif Erickson did. He kinda beat everyone else in Europe to America.
