I'm joining @djundjila@sub.wetshaving.social in Varesino Vednesday. Yesterday I used SV Desert Vetiver and needed Morado SV today.
And today's shave was phenomenal! After using 70th Anniversary for 70 days this year, I have the SV Beta 4.3 vegetal base very dialed in, so my lather was just where I wanted it. The Morado fragrance, like others from SV, has its own very interesting character, and is extremely well blended. Totally enjoyable.
But the star of the show was the Frio 14; and I was surprised at how it stood out relative to my other 14-style razors. This razor has one of my packing-peanut-tested synthetic-stone edges that is overly refined with diamond emulsion on nanocloth, and micro-convexed with firehose linen and steerhide leather. This edge felt feather light on the skin and removed hair effortlessly [recall that the razor is 8/8"]. I used SV with my Filarmónica 14 (Jnat edge) yesterday and did not have the same reaction to that shave (which was excellent, but expected). Clearly, I need to do a side-by-side test.
It's as good a razor as any I have ever tried, and stainless, too. It might be the best razor ever. 😊
No argument here.
