  • Brush: Wild West Brushworks Blue Space 26mm Cashmere
  • Razor: Ralf Aust 5/8 Stainless Full Hollow Spanish Point (Straight Shave 351)
  • Lather: Noble Otter - Monarch - Soap
  • Post Shave: Noble Otter - Monarch - Aftershave
  • Post Shave: Thayers - Lavender - Toner

2 passes. Face lather. Excellent shave.

This was my first time using Monarch. Very nice! I get more of the lavender and powder off the soap and more of the French market vibe off of the aftershave. I'm traveling, so this is my travel setup for the weekend.

As suggested by @djundjila, I'm taking a stainless steel straight with me. Great idea! I put my second attempt at a Black Shadow edge on this razor and it turned out much better than the first. A very close and comfortable shave. Perhaps I can feel the difference between this edge, a Jnat edge, and a synthetic edge. I think I need more time with each at this sharpness level to describe it.
