2 passes. Face lather. Excellent shave.
Settantisemo Straightember 33. Last night I received a Kanayama 10000 cordovan strop and an Asano Koma nagura (slurry stone). Of course I had to try these, so I did an edge refresh of my Filarmónica 13. To quote @whosgotthepudding (and, well, the Mandalorians), "This is the Way". I have never honed this razor before. I have been using the shave-ready edge that was on it when I bought it. So, yes, now it's my edge, but this was the best shave I've had with this razor, by far, and one of closest 2-pass shaves I've had.
Today I also tried using very fine talcum power post-shave. I repurposed a tiny badger travel brush for applying it. Clearly experience must be gained here. I applied a small amount of talc to the brush and received a bomb of powder when I applied it. I'm pretty sure that applying talc post-shave is way beyond my level of sophistication, but I'm emboldened by so many days of Saponificio Varesino use :)
Sir! We follow the Gallantian calendar here!
Too little, to late🙃
I'll see what I can do to clear up this confusion in the future :)
