Very nice morning shave with 3 Scots a.k.a. Cool Spiced.
I'm not sure I've used the big R 41 Twist since I got the stainless steel and titanium versions. Over the next three days I'll use all three of them in that order. Really great razor geometry IMO. The exposure is big enough to give good blade feel, but the blade feels well clamped. The result is great haptic feedback. If it had the toast butter audio feedback of the MMOC, it'd be too good ๐
The r41 twist has different geometry than the normal r41?
Nope, same head. The handle is the same size as the R41 Grande, but it's a two piece design (like a Merkur 34C, for instance)
I figured you would do a 3-pass shave; one pass with each razor :) Three razors of the same model. Thatโs just conspicuous consumption. Watch out, thatโs very American!
That's a good idea. I'll do that on day three.
Yes, that's just proper methodology. How else are you going to form an opinion on which material you prefer? Anything else would be highly irresponsible. Same goes for matching stainless/carbon steel Rausts, or soon-to-be-complete weekly sets of 14s ๐
Now, I agree with this fully, but my family's reaction looks like this ๐
The arrival of the Moarteen will give me six 14s. I'd love to find an Iberia or Palmera to fill out the weekly set. @whosgotthepudding's Iberia was an exceptional find. I'm hoping something like that becomes available.
Yeah, I also have a saved search for Iberia razors on the bay, but everything so far was way outside my budget
