I got a sample of Oud 27 from Le Labo that definitely had some dankness to it. Didn’t surprise me too much given that it’s the result of fungus-infected wood. :)

It’s a nice scent though, especially for cooler weather. I could see myself enjoying it in a shave soap.

Oud oil is high prized in some parts of the world and is quite expensive. King of Oud from Wholly Kaw and Noble Otter Two Kings are two very popular oud-related scents. Rosa Oud from Eufros has a different personality from Two Kings, but Eufros can be hard to find.
