The $6.05 billion sale of the Washington Commanders NFL franchise to a group led by Josh Harris is facing complications in legal negotiations between the NFL and team owner Daniel Snyder's representatives. The issues are related to leaked emails that led to the resignation of Jon Gruden as coach of the Las Vegas Raiders. The complications could potentially delay the approval and closing of the sale if not resolved, although there is a possibility that Snyder is seeking concessions from the NFL. The Commanders' owners, including Snyder's sister Michele, are reportedly unwilling to agree to indemnify the league and other owners against legal liability in the Gruden case. Snyder's attorneys argue that he should not be held responsible for liability stemming from the actions of NFL Commissioner Roger Goodell and league attorney Jeff Pash. As a Saints fan, I have no horse in this race, but I really do feel for you guys. It's clear as day that Snyder has been running your team into the ground just to spite the league, and I think we can all agree the sport will be better off once he's gone, but he's gonna try and make it as painful as possible for everyone involved.
