I love that a shave with fancy soap and a brush counts as a basic shave around here. ๐
Well, amongst us shaving nerds using a straight razor on travel is considered basic ๐ -- ahem @walden a disposable? I'm guessing that a plane was involved in this travel ๐ค
This comment reminds me of something: on the discord chat, I've started floating the idea of a #HeadlessHorsemen side challenge for this year's AA: #FriodomRiders, where we use a stainless straight. What do you think?
I want to join the Discord chat but time management is still a thing for me these days.
More importantly, I plan to do Headless Horsemen whether the challenge runs or not. Naturally, this will be another microscope data gathering exercise for me. I'll use MRTNG's Ultra Nightmare Mode with no palm stropping. Palm stropping is for sissies. I'm considering using a Koraat because Ulrik's steel is hardened to 64 HRC and has significant wear resistance. I could definitely get behind #FriodomRiders. Besides us, I know that VW owns a Frio, but I don't think he does Austere August (or hasn't the past couple of years). Who else would participate?
Zimora and InfernalInternal also have frios. I might choose my dovo stainless.
Well, I will certainly join in. I'm also considering doing a BBS August in order to kill my tub of Stag and my tub of 70^th^ Anniversary. Each tub should take about a month to kill.
The double AA! Kudos if you do it!
I'm thinking of using a stainless and a carbon steel straight if I do it. We'll see how I feel about it in July. I'm also thinking about renting a place in Quebec and stepping away from my routine for a while.
Good guess! I enjoy a cart/disposable shave from time to time, but would never use one at home.
