Don't know if it works without an account but gallery-dl supports Instagram
I have experience with this, from a friend...
You can download without an account, but if I remember correctly it's only certain types of media with a quality restriction.
Lol, even lower quality than Instagram butchers it when you upload? What's the restriction, 120p?
I'll have to try it later, but since it says that it authenticates through cookies I thought it needed a login. Thank though
