Light and Dark

  • Brush: Zenith r/Wetshaving exclusive MOAR BOAR (31 mm × 57 mm bleached boar)
  • Razor: Mühle R41 GT Berlin edition
  • Blade: Personna Platinum
  • Lather: Highland Springs Soap Co / Australian Private Reserve Eclipse
  • Aftershave: Echt Kölnisch Wasser N° 4711
  • Fragrance: Imaginary Authors Sundrunk
  • Talc: Borotalco

When I saw this Echt Kölnisch Wasser N° 4711 aftershave, I was reminded that a while back, u/USS-SpongeBob made his own 𝕊ℍ𝔸𝕍𝔼⭐𝔻𝔸ℕ𝔻𝕐 4711 Homebrew Aftershave a while back by cutting Cologne with some skin food ingredients. I doubt that my splash is as good for the skin as his, but it has that nice Kölnisch Wasser scent that lasts about 27 seconds. It definitely passes as a light scent (together with Sundrunk) for today's Theme Thursday theme, and Eclipse is the aptly named dark scent.

Effortless BBS with the titanium R41 (that thing is underrated), and silky smooth finish with Korotalco.

and silky smooth finish with Korotalco

After you become accustomed to using talc, a shave's finish feels wrong without it.

I'm not quite there yet, but I agree it's an extra level of nice 🙂
