2 passes. Bowl lather. Excellent shave.
Today's shave came courtesy of u/VisceralWatch. He purchased this Friodur 17 and had it sent to me for evaluation. Included in the package was the Shave⭐Dandy Coconut Cow Cream shave soap.
I have not tried a Shave⭐Dandy soap before. When I took a whiff of this scent I got a strong hit of lavender, but once lathered, the scent notes balanced into a very refreshing fragrance. Enjoyable.
The razor passed evaluation with flying colors. The only thing it needed was tightening of the pivot pin; a common problem. The shave-ready edge on the razor was very sharp and had a sharp-feel to it. Now, I happen to like this type of edge but most prefer one that is equally sharp, but has a gentler feel. The good news is that gentleness will come with more stropping. The Frio 17 has a great form factor and I like this razor a lot. It is up there with my Frio 14 in shave quality, and its slightly smaller size maintains the "reach" of the Frio 14, but affords gains in maneuverability.
Not many people have had the pleasure of using Shave⭐Dandy. I've never used his cream, but his soap is really quite good!
I enjoyed it. The problem is that there are so many excellent artisan products from around the world, it is quite difficult to add another. Happily, this tub is going to VisceralWatch.
