    2 passes. Face lather. Excellent shave.

I'm joining @djundjila and @whosgotthepudding in a Black Watch Wedgeday. Pretty glorious I must say. I have the Black Watch trifecta but chose to follow @djundjila's curation of BW soap, Opulence aftershave, and Cerberus fragrance. I really enjoyed this olfactory journey so kudos to DJ.

Today's use of the Wade & Butcher wedge was a test shave. As noted above, the result was excellent. This razor has not been refreshed in two years and I thought that one was due. I intended to use a coticule→Black Arkansas stone progression, but I found that the coticule was cutting too slowly. Rather than use more pressure and more time on the coticule, I chose to move to synthetic stones and do a synthetic→Black Arkansas progression. I've not done this before but have been told by some very experienced sharpeners that the Black Ark adds a special finish. This seems to be true based upon today's shave.

Anyway, I made a video of honing this razor. I'm tagging u/Marquis90 because I discuss honing a smiling razor in the video and he asked me about that.

Black Watch → Opulence → Cerberus ++;

This reminds me that it's been a while since I used my Fine India Steel. Very smooth feeling razor!
