It's still one of my favourite albums.

You know, I love those albums where they fucked around did things like hard-pan all the drums to the right channel. I'm here for the experimentation.

Who is the "you" in your statement? Who has done what, exactly, to threaten children in your view?

Signals, by Pallbearer (pallbearer.bandcamp.com)

One of my favourite tracks from Pallbearer's new album, Mind Burns Alive. It's beautiful.

Yeah there's an honesty in his voice that really resonates with me.

Anathema are one of my favourite ever bands. This entire album is immensely important to me.

I preordered this back when it was announced in February. It arrived over the weekend and I couldn't be more thrilled with it. This is the frosted clear version.

Looks like Lejek finally got their own human. Good job Lejek!

I'd second this suggestion, I've used borg with rsync.net for the past 4 years and it's been great.

Leaving - Liminal (2024) [shoegaze, post metal] (transylvanianrecordings.bandcamp.com)

I can't praise this album highly enough. Even 20 years after first hearing it, I still find something new to appreciate in it.

A lovely track off Shape of Despair's latest album "Return to the Void".

The first song I ever heard by VNV Nation, and this is what got me into them.

In fact, I didn't even know it was VNV Nation for about a year: it was mistagged as an unreleased/bootleg Nine Inch Nails track when I downloaded it. I have no idea how I managed to convince myself this could have been NIN: I'll blame the naïvete of youth.

I've not had a very good day.

But sitting in a comfy chair, some soft lighting on, with this album playing is helping to soothe the jagged edges.of today.

There's a reason I keep coming back to Nine Inch Nails, and it's because there's a track or album for whatever I'm feeling.
