I've greatly enjoyed FeedFlow ( github or the official site ) as my reader since it's minimalistic and just looks so polished. Almost fully cross platform as well.

I'm glad I read that blog post. I can actually feel the excitement of those experiences. I started my fediverse journey in 2018, and it truly is a one-time-only feeling when you realize you're not participating on yet another corporate owned data vacuum.

Thanks for the video, much appreciated. Never paid much attention to the project beyond their website... and I'm glad that's as far as I've gone lol

ivpn and Tutanota for email/calendar/contacts. And honestly, if you're comfortable with self hosting your own stuff, Nextcloud can manage your files, calendar, contacts and all kinds of other stuff.

Right, I read the story and I know they did in fact shoot him AFTER he had already pointed it at the officer. And yes, I am going to make this comparison about the preferential treatment he got before being shot, after a verbal warning, because the US is chock full of sobering statistics for minorities getting killed by cops.

I'm just unphased by how a white guy pulled a gun out, pointed it at the cops, and it wasn't enough for the cops to lose their shit.
