Does anybody know if it's possible for individuals to file complaints against Meta or other services that use pay or okay models? I know that some non-profits have successfully done it, but I wonder if people could do it to as a way to pressure regulators even more.

Yes, the nuance is that Facebook must offer an alternative that does not use personal data, even if it means losing some of the features compared to when you pay (either with money or authorizing them to sell your data).

It's a very interesting read, this is the second year in a row that I donate to the project. I encourage you to do it as well.

I've been using ProtonMail for a while now and it works very well, they also offer a drive, calendar, password manager, VPN; you can choose if you want all the features or just email.

I also tried Tutanota and they do a good job as well, they're a smaller company and don't have as many features as Proton but if all you need is reliable, private e-mail, it's a good option.

The only subscription that I have left is Spotify. I used to have Netflix as well before the explosion of streaming services started, when it made sense because it was convenient to have immediate access to almost all content. Now that every show is in a different service, I decided to go back to torrents with Stremio.

I've been using Bitwarden for a while and I have no complaints, works pretty well.

DuckDuckGo, if that doesn't work then I go to Startpage.

Duckduckgo, if I really can't find something relevant then I switch to Startpage.
