Even though those show up on their website, none of the 4K models are available on Amazon/Walmart or at best have very limited/erratic stock. I only see the 75” one in stock, and only on Walmart. Furthermore, they are just simply worse quality than a comparably priced smart TV. For the same price as their 55” 4K HDR TV you can get a TCL that’s also QLED and has local dimming, plus HDMI 2.1 and google TV do you can put it in a dumb mode anyways. So really there isn’t a great reason to get one of these.

I have a google tv, and the “Basic Mode” when you set it up or the “Apps only mode” both are a lot better than the overstimulation nightmare that is most smart TVs (and a google TV with normal settings)

In all fairness, she does really, specifically, need an edge in Pennsylvania if she wants to win.

What exactly is the bar a vice president needs to meet to be considered not a “nobody” for you? I feel like being a governor of an entire state or a senator is a pretty notable thing, especially if you’re a popular one there

AZ senator, former astronaut and navy aviator, husband of Gabby Giffords (a congresswoman who survived an assassination attempt). He is coming up a lot in speculation about Harris’ running mate and was one of the people contacted by her campaign.

If Mark Kelly was to become VP the governor of Arizona (a Democrat) would be able to replace him with someone else for the rest of his senate term

Don’t get it twisted, I love cursing like a sailor and do so regularly. But when I see it excessively in an internet post that makes someone seem like they’re trying too hard to fit in with adults online and be extra edgy

Excessive swearing, as if they just learned how to say “fuck”.

Not that any damn amount of fucking swearing means they are are a young fucker, but you can fucking tell when you read that shit and they manage nine goddamn swear words in one fucking sentence you know they’re a young bitch who aren’t allowed to swear any other damn time.

I only get two options: Alphabetical order and submission order. If I had random I would use it.

I’m a graduate student who does a lot of grading. Canvas gives me an option to: 1. Hide students’ names while grading and 2. sort in order of submission instead of alphabetical order, so I make sure to use both of those options to reduce any biases like that.

  1. Put the former dictator and their government officials to a fair war tribunal/trial for whatever war crimes/human rights violations they preformed. Have the jury/etc composed of people of the occupied country. Televise, live stream it, etc as much as possible to make sure it’s transparent to the people so they know it’s being fairly run and so that all former supporters of the original regime see all the atrocities they committed
  2. Provide economic/humanitarian aide to help rebuild country, create jobs/economy for people
  3. Begin rebuilding government as democracy, use occasional voting referendums on specifics of new constitution (on bill of rights, parliamentary vs representative democracy, etc) to allow people some participation and act as dry runs for electing political officials. Maybe throw some ranked choice voting in there for fun
  4. Run elections for political offices, for the first few elections ensure that the former dictator’s supporters and regime is disqualified so they do not retake power
  5. After elections are successful and government seems stabilized, begin de-occupying and giving the country it’s independence
