My wife was a Christian when we started dating, but her opinions on LGBTQ+ issues made her start questioning her faith which led her to leave the faith altogether by the time we were married.

I've amended my comment to make it more clear. I didn't mean to imply the app sends your data to third parties, only that the company who owns it profits off of third party information brokering. Where that information comes from is beside the point in my opinion.

PSA: Nova Launcher's owning company sells their user data. It was a good launcher when it first came out, but it's been nothing but a downward spiral from there.

Edit for clarity: I don't mean the app itself. It is owned by an entity that exists to sell consumer data.

Edit again: I was wrong. TIL about EPR Torx. Just search that and you should find the right set.

The power dynamic is ever present. Can a person detained by a law enforcement officer consent to sex with that officer?

I had no idea this was a thing. I've recently gotten into astronomy though, so I'll be sure to remember to observe this next year!

Apparently similarly mechanically powered displays involving cams to actuate number segments were pretty popular back in the day. Here's a YouTube video I came across one day a while back about one: https://youtu.be/TANe2d0VTGQ?si=unBJmfzs6A_7PWkM

If poor people were able to plan their shopping trips and spend the money required to take advantage of the cost-savings of couponing, dollar stores wouldn't be so dominant in poor areas. To actually save money couponing you have to be prepared to spend to buy in bulk most times.

Voyager has a setting to show a baby emoji next to the name of a user if their account is less than a month old and an account age. Probably one of the best features I've ever seen for immediately recognizing troll accounts.

Thankfully only one near me does this and I've never gone back once I saw they had these installed. This is really the only way we're ever going to see these practices phased out. Corporations don't take anything seriously until it affects the bottom line. Just look at climate change.

I need to go back and play FEZ again. Tunic was an awesome experience that felt like I was playing a Zelda game made by Phil Fish.

You'd think that more corporations would be worried about corporate espionage through web browsers, email clients, etc. all being created by one company with a history of bad privacy practices.
