This is an optional feature. The core search functionality does not require JS.
Google is a text input and a list of links. It should work without JS.
The redesign is terrible...
But Deezer is great! I have been using it for years now, it's missing a couple of songs here and there but the ability to import MP3s makes up for it.
Actual doesn't support multiple user accounts.
This isn't the first time a similar mod is made for a game, and no one has ever been sued. I can think of SimCity 2013 and Hitman WoA having such hacks, as well as private WoW servers.
