The thing they're refusing to do by forcing everyone to snitch on themselves? Yeah I've heard of it and when you investigate shit you don't gotta rely on people arbitrarily snitching with 0 evidence just to avoid the bull shit. What's next? Someone gets a DUI on campus and they bill everyone for the damage and take away everyone's licenses?

As the computer nerd in my friends/family circle, Im constantly being gifted old PCs from people. Some I keep and repurpose into servers/other things and others I just recycle for them. I also am an avid PC gamer so when my rig gets retired I usually upgrade the other servers internals from parts I had left over. Don't know if something else is viable for you to keep costs down, even if you can get the PC without a HDD but everything else.

Oh no I quite have, no where did I say people wont find ways to kill each other. But religion isn't the bloodless doctrine it portrays itself to be. But since you mentioned the Holocaust it is arguable that was a religious motivated event as people saw Hitler as a infallible god. Nazi ism was their religion and nazis even messed with the occult.

Mother fucker up there acting like he ain't ever heard of the crusades, Spanish inquisition, Salem witch trials, or the genocide of the Buddhist population in tiabet to name a few, though the Buddhist population genocide could be argued as atheist since it was perpetrated by CCP who don't believe in most religions.

Sure we do, "who's your co conspirators?"

Youtube literally flat banned any channel with CP in it. Regardless of what CP actually stood for, like say combat power in pokemon go..... Lots of bigger YouTubers got hit with account closures for like a week before it got reversed.

Yes, but it's what it is doing with it that is the murky grey area. Anyone can read a book, but you can't use those books for your own commercial stuff. Rowling and other writers are making the case their works are being used in an inappropriate way commercially. Whether they have a case iunno ianal but I could see the argument at least.

It's always been this way. Some people are just slaves to the brand. "why aren't you using a MacBook instead of that cheap Windows laptop?"

Because the Windows laptop had better hardware, better support for the apps I want to use right now and potential apps in the future, was cheaper, and is easier to repair or expand if I want to in the future.

"But...but....apple said they're the best...."

what are you talking about? I have a 6a and 3a, literally just used my hotspot last night to watch streaming services on my roku.

Why would they have tutorials on how to turn it on and off too? https://www.verizon.com/support/knowledge-base-302085/

maybe do 30 seconds of research before you make such a silly statement?

For gaming I buy price to performance as my #1 prio and hand me down old parts to family and friends rigs.

I've also become a sort of tech retirement home for my family members since I can always find uses for things like monitors and repurpose slightly older hardware for various personal projects, servers, transcoders, etc. I'm about to upgrade my Plex server from my wife's old fx6350 to my old Ryzen 5 3600 since I got a really good deal on a Ryzen 5600X. Probably repurpose the fx6350 as a transcoder//file server or maybe as a super powered router. And I've also got another set of hardware to build an arcade cabinet whenever I get like a week off to devote to it.

I also don't mind older tech as long as it meets a certain standard or I can easily get conversion cables/boxes. I got my parents old 1990s sony surround sound system with Dolby pro logic 1. Is it the latest and greatest? Hell to the no, but it still sounds good enough and with a $30 converter box+a pair of red/white cables I've now got a surround sound system for my bedroom with the more modern Yamaha system in the family room. It also pairs well with the retro consoles I hook up on rotation in my room.
