Not necessarily for me, but I do like the colors. And for the price point for a ceramic, pretty cool!

Not for me, but I like the colors. And the price point for ceramic is not bad either. What do y’all think?

Reminds me of the one my prof used to wear, but don’t know much more than that. Have you tried contacting Hamilton and see if they can use the serial number to look that up for you?

Great watch and great story. Thanks for sharing!

Newest addition to my collection. Wanted a diver and have been looking at the Pelagos for a while. When visiting my AD, found this one LNIB for a good deal, so I couldn’t pass it up!

Can’t go wrong with a Hamilton! I have the all black day date and it’s one of my favorites.

Went to the Johnson Space Center in Houston today and found a few Speedmaster’s on display. Here is one on one of the space suits. Another one I found was Sally Ride’s, the first US woman in space! I currently don’t have a Speedmaster, but these definitely make it tempting to have another look at them.

I bought this one about a year and a half ago and have a hard time taking it off. When I first bought it, it was a gold color but the patina just keeps amazing me on how much it adds to the character of it. IWC did a fantastic job on the type of bronze used for this watch (more brown and yellow than copper looking). The green dial goes from a dark green to a bright olive green, depending on the light. This combined with the bronze, gold hands, and brown leather strap really makes it feel like it’s from another era. If anyone is looking to pull the trigger on one, you won’t regret it.

Notes:

  • 6.5” wrist
  • The picture is a few months old, but showcases the watch nicely with some patina.
  • Strap is from The Strap Tailor —> highly recommend!
