More options around that in general. I would love a spoiler flag that does the same blur as NSFW but isn't filtered out by the 'show NSFW' checkbox.
Nighed
I guess the 'simple' way of doing this would be adding tags to communities like 'art' 'hobbies' 'sport' 'football' etc. This might then let the app suggest others based on the tags you are subscribed to.
It would probably still require some AI/analytics to work out the links based on user activity in different communities/tags but I think it would make it easier to group interests and promote smaller communities.
It could also improve Lemmy visibility in Masterdon if the tags are used as hashtags or something. (Would require more work)
The vertical tab bar is still there though as it's apparently not removable? 😞
@lynze@mastodon.social not sure if you would have seen my reply here as I didn't reply to you directly. See the parent comment of this if you can?
(Lemmy/masterdon integration is.. iffy)
You can do individual single user plans if you use sub domains I think?
So say you had smith.com you could setup one account with the bob.smith.com sub-domain and another with sally.smith.com. That works great with wildcards, you can use amazon@bob.smith.com as your Amazon email etc.
The problem with that is what you set as your main email for outgoing etc. you could do something like personal@sally.smith.com or something. (You could just use something on the proton.me domain, but that kinda defeats the point of bringing your own)
Using a family account would let you have bob@smith.com and sally@smith.com but is a lot more expensive. I think it also means you can't get your own wildcard inboxes without adding additional domains for them.
I'm pretty sure I have 1TB of storage on yahoo email.
...Yahoo though, so I'm moving to proton
That now means that the basic tier look kinda poor on a storage PoV, worth it for the BYO domain though.
yeh, those are solutions, I was just explaining how its not automatically better.
Latex documents in git are the best option technically, but good luck getting the average person (or me!) to do that.
I dislike autosaves in word processors/spreadsheets etc and turn them off whenever I can. I prefer to have that control, I have had issues where I have deleted things to rewrite/update them, decide against it and close the app only to find it's overwritten what I had done....
The idea behind them is that they stay on until the bottom of the pan reaches 100C
As this is only possible once the water has boiled away, it will always create perfectly cooked rice (if you put the right amount of water in)
So it.should work for anything you want to stop as soon as it boils dry.
Everyone's view of what is NSFW is different
